My answered prayer is in the daily miracle of the life of my grandson, Jonathon, born with hypo plastic left heart syndrome (half a heart) on July 9, 2014. Through a series of open heart surgeries and numerous other medical procedures, many complications, near death several times, he is now 4 1/2 years old and our joy. He also has Autism, which was likely caused by damage to his brain when he was shocked back to life multiple times. At times over the past years during complications doctors said he might never be able to move or speak. Despite this, and Autism, he speaks, laughs, gives hugs and kisses, runs and plays, and recently started pre-school. Thank you God for answered prayers too numerous to even recall, and for the life of this precious child. And this is interesting — my piece is not a cross, it is a heart, a beautiful imperfect heart, just like our Jonathon’s heart!
