I received my cross from a friend and co-worker of my husband who sent it to me for my journey with cancer. Right before Christmas 2106 I was diagnosed with melanoma. My cancer is stage 3A but there is a strong chance that all of my cancer was removed with my two surgeries. My cancer team at MDAnderson will scan me every three months for the next five years to make sure no additional cancer is growing. I will cherish this cross and the prayers it brings to me during my journey. I will pass it on when I cross paths with someone in my life that needs it more. This is a great project and a great way to let people know they are not alone when life gets tough. With warm regards, Colleen.
