I was lucky enough to be introduced to Answered Prayers in St Petersburg FL this past January, 2019. There I was privileged to meet and get to know, briefly, Elizabeth and Laura. Turned out our missions were the same-to provide assistance to those in need. I work with Wines for Humanity and our mission is to help prevent homelessness-especially for families with children. This aligned perfectly with Answered Prayers and their programs to teach usable and marketable skills to women in need. Elizabeth offered to let me pick out a ceramic, handmade piece for myself and stated I would know which one was meant for me when I saw it…she was correct! I picked out a cross that has a beautiful sentiment “the best thing to hold onto in life is each other”. I came home and hung it above my work computer and each day it reminds me there are those that have no one to hold onto and how lucky I am to have more than one person in my life to hold onto and cherish. More than that, I am trying to rearrange my life to include more “holding on” time with those who mean the most to me-my mom, sister, husband, daughter and dear friends. Thank you Answered Prayers for entering my life.
