I remember getting ready for this 50th birthday like it was just another Bunbury Party. There would be tons of food and as always, plenty of beer and wine for everyone. We then were given crosses to hang in the sun porch and I am sure I put up some sort of fight, but did display them for everyone to see. That was when it all started. I took a beaten up navy cross with beads on the top. It is still in my room. A story was told, and a door was opened. It has been many years and many crosses but still the same story. The story of a woman who opened up to a group of women she knew, but didn’t know her.
It has been many years since that birthday party and everyday I am more and more amazed by how much Answered Prayers Project has grown and even more how it has affected my family and most of all my mother. Thank you mom for always being there for all of us. I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished.
