This cross was a gift from my sister Christmas 2011. My sister spent a day with Elizabeth making crosses and was so touched by the mission that she decided to share it with me. I have this cross hanging in my dining room and enjoy thinking about the stories it is and will be witnessing. Although faith that God is there with me is something that has always come easy to me, faith in terms of commitment and selflessness has been a point of tension. Giving God control of my life is something I fight with much of my strength and energy. This cross, as its pattern falls off the edge, is a reminder that I can only control so much. I can only nurture the plants and only God makes them grow
