My husband and I met Elizabeth when we were chaperoning at the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis. We were inspired by the story of these crosses and what they represent. We decided to purchase a cross for the wonderful couple who were caring for our dog while we were away because they touch many lives and would undoubtedly be able to share it with someone else. All of the crosses were beautiful in their own way, so the choice was difficult. We narrowed it down to 2 crosses. After we made our choice, Elizabeth lovingly looked at us with love and said, “I’m going to let you have this one, as well. Hearing your story, I know that the two of you are going to soon come across someone else who could really use a cross as well. The only cost for the second cross is a hug.” Less than a month later, my sister’s house burned down. Nobody was hurt, but my sister, her husband and 3 kids have lost everything they own and are emotionally burdened. I am sending my sister this cross in the hope that it it will help her and her family place their faith in God during this hard time. Amazingly, the cross has the word “FAITH” carved all over it!
