My dear friend Carol gave me the cross to give me strength as I face my brain tumor and upcoming surgery. She has great faith, as do I, and this cross not only represents my belief that God listens to all our prayers, but that we have a community of friends and believers who support us in prayer as we struggle through the challenges that life gives us. I am thankful for Carol, who represents a greater community of support, and for my faith which sustains me.
