My best friend gave me this cross during one of the roughest times in my life. It was/is during a time of great sorrow, confusion, anger and guilt. I am in the middle of possibly separating from my high school sweetheart and husband. She has been my friend since high school (we are now in our late 20s) and she has become my angel. I came to her one night during one of my, many, crying bouts and she listened intently and realized this was her time to pass the cross of “Joy” onto me. While she knows and understands how hopeless I feel, she also knows that in time will come great joy. I can’t thank her enough for her love and support.
