I received this cross as a gift from Elizabeth, the founder of Answered Prayers Cross at the Atlanta Eucharistic Congress, June 25, 2011.
What a beautiful ministry! I stopped by the table in the Vendor Hall and saw so many crosses! And I heard Elizabeth’s story about the journey of the crosses, and I know I had found something worth investing in!
I left the table, intent on returning later and finding a cross that “spoke to me”. When I came back a couple of hours later, I found two crosses and struggled to chose between them. They were so similar: a sturdy cross with a ceramic clay heart dangling from a leather cord. How could I choose?
Finally, I went with my first instinct, and chose. Without hesitation, Elizabeth handed me this, the second cross, and told me that she wanted me to have it, too.
I offered to pay her, but she wouldn’t hear of it! I promised to write my stories and share the gift of inspiration and the vision she gave me — it’s in the stories of our lives that we touch others. It’s in the stories of our lives that we share our testimony. It’s in the stories of our lives that we have an opportunity to impact others for Christ.
And so, this cross, this gift, begins its journey!
