This is a beautiful ministry and I’m happy to share my story.
The gift of this cross came from my sister-in-law, Donna, who lives in Alpharetta Georgia. She gave it to me a couple of days ago after my daughter’s wedding.
Three months ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I will be starting chemotherapy in 2 weeks, followed by radiation shortly thereafter.
This has been a year of joys and sorrows and I trust that Jesus is carrying me most days. Jesus tells us to pick up our cross and follow Him. I can do this now with joy! Here I can find solace in suffering all for Him and in my little way, can unite whatever trials I will encounter these next few months to the pain & suffering He faced on Calvary. My strength, my hope and every grace comes from Him…and I give to my beloved Savior every ounce of gratitude to be able to be even closer to Him now.
As I prepare myself for this next phase of my journey, I will hold onto the cross made by your hands and make an offering for other women (and men) that battle this disease.
God bless!
