Someone told me about this group Answered Prayers Cross one day while I sharing my testimony, the loss of my son, my personal journey with God and my mission to give back and organize a non profit that my fiancee and I founded. This organization is to bring awareness and educated our community of the never ending needs of our wounded uniformed men and women and families of the Fallen. To Remember, Honor and Support those of the Past, Present and our Future.
Recently a family within our community lost their son due to an attack in Afghanistan which touched my heart. You see ten years ago, early 2003 my son wanted to join the Army which would have brought him to WAR in Iraq. That did not happen..and for many reasons I was relieved. It was later that year, November 19th when I lost my precious and only son Barry James Weiler, Jr due to a tragic motorcycle accident..he remains to this very moment in my heart Forever and Always… When I had heard of this mother losing her son and about the crosses, I wanted to make crosses for both her and the widow of the young soldier. I had hopes of presenting these Crosses to them at our morning Breakfast event on 9-11-12, but realize I didn’t have time to make them personally since the event was just a few days away. So it was that weekend before the event my fiancee’ and I went to visit the shop where the crosses were made. I stumbled upon the two crosses which said “Always and Forever”for which has always been my motto so to speak and memoirs of my son. Always and Forever in My Heart..
We bought those two crosses and will present them to both the Mother and the widow on Tuesday morning 9-11-12..
I share this pain amongst all families that have experienced the loss of a child. I want the Sitton family to know that Matt too will Always and Forever be in our hearts. He is a true Hero and that we are so very proud of him and THANK him for keeping our Country Strong and Free. For he gave the ultimate sacrifice. This cross is a small memento. I hope that this helps to comfort them and in knowing now that he also has joined my son and our wonderful Father in Heaven.. May they Rest in Peace.
God Bless you and all that have lost their precious loved ones..
