I was attending an AACC conference when I came across the booth for Answered Prayers Cross. I loved the purpose of this ministry, so I decided to purchase a cross. I chose my cross with the word HOPE written across the top. It signified to me the very reason why I live, because of the Hope in Christ Jesus that I have found. I Peter 1:3 tells us that “Blessed be the God and Father of our abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…” begotten us again refers to being born again therefore being born again we can experience the living Christ who makes possible a living hope. How my life would be so different had I not come to know the will of God. Through the difficult things I had to journey and through my despair in all of it there was hope. And as I grew in Christ it became more evident. Jesus is my HOPE in GLORY! I have grown to know that in Christ there is no respecter of person. That what He did for me He will do for another.
My HOPE is that this cross will signify for the individual who receives it the same for what God has done for me in my life.
You see 36 years ago I chose to listen to man, my husband then, to abort our first child. I did not have a personal relationship with Christ so therefore I did not know His voice to hear, to trust, to be empowered by and chose to go down a path that has been very hard. Though God showed up nine years later (really He had always been there, I just didn’t know this) in my life, He rescued me from my pain, redeemed me, received me as His own, forgave me, healed me and planted me in a Crisis Pregnancy Center to be a voice to those who are faced with an untimely, unwanted pregnancy. HE has used my shame for His Glory and for the good of those He allows me to come in contact with. He has given me a HOPE to share with others in which we can hold onto, The Anchor of Life, my precious Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Hebrews 6:19 tells us This HOPE we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil. This scripture helps us to realize that God is trying to rescue us from the suffering we find ourselves in when we choose to do it our way because of fear, pressure of what people will say, because it’s not in our plans at the time, not trusting Him, etc….
BUT GOD He has a plan and a purpose in all situations. Trust Him and know that Proverbs 16:25 warns us that “There is a way that seems right to man, But its end is the way of death.”God loves us so much that He wants to rescue You and whoever that will allow Him to be the Anchor & Hope in their Lives! With God’s help, you will get through to the other side.Blessings In Christ.
