Cross #13.955

 Scottsbluff, NE

This cross was passed to me by a lady I met at a church luncheon. I was asked to share my story of how I was led to the Catholic faith and she was touched and we became friends. I was to be received into the Church at the Easter Vigil this year(2013) but on Palm Sunday, I was in a traumatic car accident and broke my neck. I am so blessed and grateful to be alive. God and my guardiam angel were with me the night of my accident, as so many things could have gone so differently. I am witness to God’s mercy and love. I was truly on death’s door and He chose me to remain here and to be able to walk and talk. The Lord is not done with me yet and I obviously have more to do here on earth. I have had excellent care and an outpouring of support. (there are angels here on earth) Even though I am currently in a halo and will be for a few months and the road of recovery is long and painful, I am glad to testify that I was received into the Church on 4/27/13. I thank God every day
for choosing me and ask for the courage and strength to bear this suffering because I know it is nothing compared to the suffering Jesus went through for my salvation. Mother Mary has brought me many hours of comfort through the Rosary and this cross is a reminder of how much I have grown in my faith and how I will continue to grow as I seek a deeper relationship with our Lord and his mother. I am alive and free…thanks be to God!
