Cross #14.6791

Summerfield, FL

We recently held a Ladies’ Retreat for our church. We always have a speaker for the retreat and Elizabeth with Answered Prayers Project was with us this year. When we walked into the room, we were not sure what we were going to be doing based on what was on our tables. Elizabeth proceeded to give her testimony and explained the purpose and focus of Answered Prayers Project. We each had the opportunity to paint and decorate some crosses based on our choices of colors and ideas. When these were done, we then could select one cross or heart that was already completed to keep. I selected a green heart with an anchor on it. It immediately spoke to me when my sister pointed it out. I recently lost my husband after a valiant battle with cancer. His favorite song was The Anchor Holds by Ray Boltz. When we held his memorial service, we had the song sung for him by a very dear friend. The heart now has a very prominent spot in my living room next to a collage of pictures done by my children and grandchildren of some of our family members around the words for The Anchor Holds. I believe that this was the heart that I was meant to have and I am very blessed.
