Emily, who worked with our son doing Occupational Therapy, was so thoughtful to give our family this cross. The cross has the word HOPE written next to it. HOPE has been the wind beneath our wings. God gave us HOPE in the midst of what seemed to many to be a hopeless situation. But, Praise God, that nothing is impossible with Him. We were told when I was 20 weeks pregnant that our son may not survive birth. We were given options but my son was dancing in my belly and we trusted and had HOPE that God would do abuntantly more than we could ever ask or HOPE for. My son was born at 35 weeks and had to be put on a breathing tube. He lived that day, and the next and the next. We were cautioned, that he may only live months so we celebrated each month that went by. After six months, he came home from the hospital. We had 24 hour nursing care as he was on a ventilator. By the time he had his first birthday, our HOPE soared. God is so faithful. Then he had his 2nd and 3rd birth day’s. Our son is now 4 years old and he is a delight and full of life. The cross says HOPE and we hope our son’s life will continue to touch many and give HOPE.
