Cross # 8.431

Amy

I don’t have much of a story.  I was at my church carnival when I was standing in the pizza line next to a woman who had several crosses in her hands.  She explained how she got the crosses from one of the booths at the carnival to pass onto people she thought needed them. I immediately thought of a friend of mine who is struggling with category 4 lung and liver cancer.  I went to the booth and on the very top was a rustic, bumby torquise cross that I felt was the perfect cross for my friend.  Elizabeth wasn’t at the booth at that moment so I waited for her so I could understand the organization better.  I was glad I did.  In only a few words, she explained why she created the organization and I was moved immediately.  My friend just returned from Germany after undergoing agressive cancer treatment.  I can’t wait to send this to him.
