My husband and I served as missionaries in Italy. Cross cultural living is exhausting much of the time. But, a couple years in, God gave me two incredible coffee buddies who were both ex-pats themselves, Anne Marie and Linda. We met every couple of weeks, and it was such a rich time of encouragement, understanding, friendship, and fun. Those two women were lifelines for me…definite answers to my prayers for friends. Fast forward a few years, and my husband and I moved to New York City where he pastors a church. And like with any transition, I began to pray for true, godly friends…women who know me, love me, laugh with me, and spur me on. My dear friend Anne Marie sent me this cross in New York, and it came at such a needed time. I know that the Lord will continue to provide friends wherever He leads us. He’s done it before and is continuing to do it even now.
