I was driving to school on Monday morning (19th of February, 2018) when a truck came over the median on the Courtney Campbell Causeway and hit my car head on. I was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert with an open compound fracture on my right ankle, a broken femur on my right leg, bruised lungs, and extremely swollen hands. Since then I have had surgery on my leg and stitches in my right hand. My left hand is still extremely swollen and I am in a lot of pain. My blood count keeps dropping and I have received a couple of blood transfusions. Once I can get the strength to sit up on my own they will begin physical therapy. It will take many months for a full recovery. I appreciate all thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
