My cross was given to me by a good friend when my eldest daughter was diagnosed with terminal cancer in Sept 17. As she is single I gave up work to be her carer, helping her through treatments and encouraging her in her ‘bucket list’. It has been a wonderful time! We have laughed and cried and felt God’s presence and love. She is getting nearer the end of her journey now and I feel a peace mixed with my sadness that I didn’t expect. It’s time for this cross to move on to a dear friend who needs the visual hope engraved on it, to remind her of the real hope we have through Christ Jesus as she is being attacked on many sides. It is especially poignant that there is a mustard seed on it as about 35 years ago, she joined my mustard seed prayer group where she became a Christian!
