Mustard Seed of Faith
Each cross is finished with a mustard seed. “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” – Matthew 17:20

I received my cross from a precious friend and prayer partner as I was going through a very challenging season with my father. My dad is 87 years old and was diagnosed with Covid at the beginning of 2022. Along with the typical symptoms, we began to see other things that seemed to come out of the blue and were very concerning. My sister and I became caretakers and were with him 24/7. We trusted the Lord and asked many in our circles to pray with us for wisdom and for my dad’s healing. After many weeks, I can say my father is doing so well, despite a diagnosis of mild Parkinson’s, and is even back to living semi-independently again. All glory and honor goes to the Lord – and I am so thankful for my many praying friends!

I was given this cross in 2009 after my sister suffered a traumatic brain injury. She is quadriplegic and totally dependent on caregivers for all activities of daily living now. This cross was one of many methods I used to learn to not only pray for healing, but also to pray for peace.
The lovely cross came into my possession from attending an Emmaus Retreat, a retreat I felt I didn’t need, but kept an open mind going into the weekend. I am a planner, event curator, love to build experiences for my family and friends, so not knowing a single thing that was about to happen during the retreat was very hard for me. I’m incredibly grateful from attending the retreat as it was a form of self-care which I didn’t realize how desperately I needed. Post-retreat, I’ve been able to discern the correct inner voice to guide me instead of allowing the negative inner voice to tear me down. I’ve been praying for years for help in this area of my life, and prayers were answered during the retreat. I’ve finally allowed myself to trust in God and to remove the hidden anger in my heart.
Very thankful for this cross to have been gifted to me during the retreat, Lord, as a reminder to keep a light heart, to remove the heaviness of resentment and anger, and to fill those voids with increased trust in You. I pray this prayer for those who have received this cross prior to me and for those who will receive after me. It’s in Your most beautiful name, we pray. Amen.
My sister-in-law sent me the cross when I was going through cancer treatments. Receiving the cross gave me the peace I needed to go through the treatments knowing there were many prayers out there for me.
My name is Lisa, and I am a Domestic Abuser survivor. My journey back to myself lead me to Florida where I met a wonderful woman, friend and boss who gifted me this cross. She has listened, understood, been compassionate and ministered to me over the last 15 months of my employment with her. I still have a long way to go but, I have learned to put my past to rest and have met a wonderful man. Learning to love yourself after years of battering, is such a hard thing to do. Learning to feel worthy of someone’s love is challenging.
Years ago, they told me that my daughter may have birth problems since I had her at age 41 but GOD has shown me that he is the Master. My daughter remains healthy and very smart, funny
